This red is an example of how Etna Reds have a reputation for being like Italy’s Burgundy. Limited notes but we all loved it - very mineral and earthy with red cherries. Like a hypothetical cross between a Pinot Noir and a Nebbiolo.

Full funky Burgundian nose. Strong floral notes mixed with forest floor, dark fruit, and sandalwood spice. On the palate, it’s like a pinot got it on with a barolo - lifted floral and cherry flavours with firm but ripe tannins. Acid spine gives energy and grip. Needs time and air but this has massive potential. Serious.
