2006 vintage. A stunning glass of wine! Black as midnight in the glass. Black olives and floral notes on the nose. On the palate, where do I start? Blackberry liqueur, licorice and camphor predominate at first, but the wine continued to develop as the night progressed. Some asphalt, tar and graphite. Later on, more earthy notes of roasted game and truffles. Spectacular stuff. Rich, intense and super concentrated. Endless finish. One of the greatest wines I've ever tasted.
Well, I just checked Parker and saw that this is a 100 pointer. I wholeheartedly concur. By the way, 16.2% alcohol perfectly integrated.

Massive, chewy almost amarone like. So many layers of fruit. Very new world in style and amazing for what it is, but may not be for everyone. Great nose of lilacs, wildflowers and some hot rocks.
