Not a negative thing to say. Exactly what a Malbec should be.

A generous amount of red berry and licorice on the nose with the black pepper showing through on the palate. Paired with churrascaria we had for dinner was a good call, but the wine isn't as complex as the variety of meats. Still a fruit forward and delicious wine.

Dry and spicy. A good wine and seems a little more alcohol strong. Noticed a strange smell from the bottle not long after opening which reminded me of “the day after” a party. Old liquor smell did not impact the taste however.

Hearty balance of fruit and floral notes. Dark berry blend with a dry tart finish.

This 2016 vintage was opened June 2020 and drunk with an orzo salad and sirloin steak skewered and grilled medium rare after flavoring with cumin, chili powder, garlic and green chopped oregano. The aroma is superior with dark berry, chocolate and herb, while the taste is smooth as can be, full flavored, and lush. Definitely a great buy. Will look for and plan to stock!
