Palate has dried tart cherry, sweet cherry, molasses cookie, blood orange, sweet-roasted red pepper and slight forest floor. Smooth tannins with a long finish. This bottle is drinking at near perfection, a few more years would just be over the top. 🤯
Dark ruby with slight brown edge.
Decanted 3H, then double-decanted for service.
93-94 points, seriously amazing for this level of wine.
Initially very vegetal (green) on initial decant, glad this evolved nicely.

Last One hiding in basement. Still punches well above its class at 12 years retirement age. Delicate Balance with decent complexity. Marie Bob visit.

Aug 15th, 2023Punches way above is eight now that 8 years in bottle under the belt! Well balanced very typical good red Burg that I bet would score as higher class blinded. Excellent with the dark beef and Kim Chi soup.

Light, young wine with fruity flavours (berries, citrus) and delicate bouquet, fairly light in alcohol (12%). Enjoyed it better a few hours after opening and slightly chilled.
