Luci Luci Etna Bianco Carricante
Etna, Catania, Sicily, Italy
Star bright beige gold. Green apple and citrus rind on the abundant nose. Confirmed with a bit of white pepper and stone on the medium palate. Chock full o' tannin-esque minerals that stand firm through the finish even as the wine warms. In other words, a Classic volcanic white that's a perfect match for seafood and Mediterranean fare. Best now, but drink through 2028.

Carricante 100%, tinged with a honeysuckle quality but the heart is all Etna (ashy, sulfuric, smoke hazed).

Feb 24th, 2015This wine has a very distinct minerality and pretty floral notes orange peel stainless Steel this wine has a very intense golden color typical flowers of etna carricante is very dry and you get sulphur and ash from the volcano. Has a very long persistent finish persimmon notes. Excellent

Mar 18th, 2014Just ok, not worth the $40 price point. Had with bruschetta and calamari on thanksgiving. Very complex nose, vanilla, honeysuckle, and lemon. VERY crisp and acidic, green apple, lemon, lime, cherry blossom. Mouth coating feel like hard cider. Ends with a very tart citric bite. Would be better with less acidic food. Wouldn’t go out of my way to have again.

Beautiful straw gold. Expressive and dry - orange blossoms and beeswax, a touch of green olive and oxidative depth. Tight and mineral. Top drawer.
