Apr 11th, 2016Nose and palate were very different on this one. Nose had a bit of a metallic influence to it which increased on day two. A bit of tin or copper maybe? It became distracting as it grew on the second day, but was not an issue on day one. Palate was very good. Berries, spices, and smokiness. Structure was balanced. It was definitely dry, but I didn't find the tannins to be overwhelming. I have another bottle and I'm interested to try it again in a year and see if I'm still getting the metals on the nose.
