There’s such an incredible combination of richness and purity with impeccable concentration and fruit density. Layers of perfumed citrus oils, ripe orchard fruit, almond skin and crushed stones waft from the glass. The palate is long, vibrant and intense with a mineral and saline inflicted finale. A killer BdB.

Aug 17th, 2022Purity, focus, precision, tension, vibrancy. A gorgeous Champagne that will continue to develop beautifully, gaining in complexity with time in the bottle. Give plenty of air if opening 2014 now, but it’s definitely not too soon.

Always a vintage champagne, this cuvee comes from a single vineyard of 60 ares in AVIZE (Fosse aux pourceaux).
No heavy mechanical machines were used in the maintenance of this vineyard, which has solemnly been worked by man and by horse.
Vénus is the domain’s single vineyard emblem.
Bottled under cork.
Disgorged 2 months before the release date without dosage.
This cuvee is only available in bottle.

Wow! It doesn’t get much better than this. Rich and creamy with well defined Chardonnay fruit complemented by brioche and pastry notes. Long, lovely finish.
