Second wine tasted at Afton Mountain Vineyards. This is made from some of the oldest wines on the vineyard planted back in 1978. Clear yellow. A little tight with just some green apples showing through. Light butter on the palate but not overpowering. Some citrus undertones too. Moderate plus acidity that is a little sharp. Slight metallic notes in the finish. Needs time to cool off and fully integrate. Drink till 2019.

This is a fun rose! A bit of strawberry adds a touch of sweetness that I love. 46% PN, 33% CF, 21% Merlot
