Big, dark, full and rich. Portuguese red blend (Lisboa Region) of Touriga National (39%), Merlot (27%), Cabernet Sauvignon (18%) and Petite Verdot (16%). Dominant aromas of oak and vanilla along with plum and cassis notes. Flavors of ripe dark plums, tobacco, vanilla and bakers chocolate. Lots of mouth watering acidity and firm tannins. A bit sharp and astringent on the very long and oaky finish. Better on the second day. Would rate higher if this one was better balanced.
