This is a nice Red Blend from Portugal. Showing black and red fruits with vegetables, earth, wood, spices and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up.
This 5 year old is drinking very nicely now. A good everyday wine.
I paired it with a nice piece of Rib Eye steak.
A blend of 25% Tinta Barroca, 25% Tinta Roriz, 25% Touriga Nacional and 25% Touriga Franca.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

This has developed a bit more complexity on the nose since my last taste a year ago. Red cherry and blackberry followed by incense, black tea, vanilla, and a bit forest floor and hint of smoked meat, then the lovely cherry note resurfaced. Well balanced with acidic and tanning structures for further aging. What a value!

Dark fruit nose. Fruit forward cherry, cranberry with rhubarb. Drops off quickly with not much in the finish. Lightweight red with not much to offer.
