Heritage Vines Alegría Vineyards Zinfandel

Acorn wine is hard to come by; a relatively small producer that produces wonderful field blends.

2013 vintage. Strawberry jam, red cherry, black pepper and Asian spice. M+ acid, m body, m+ tannin. Lean and elegant on the palate. This wine has layers with a long finish just like all the other Acorn wines. I'm a huge fan of all of them.

Liked this wine. Best of the 3 zins in the tasting. Medium bodied, slightly tannic with a hint of spice on the end. Not bad at all.

Acorn’s field blend zinfandels are right up my alley. If you don’t like elegant, balanced zins, move along please.

Definitely recommend letting it open up. Medium body, nice fruit but not overly heavy or ripe. Rich, dark fruit, spice, with great balance.
