The nose is a bit misleading on this one. There’s a sweet vanillin oak component in the center that was hard to get past, but on the palate shows nice balance and restraint. Cherries, raspberries, cedar, a touch of mint. I’m usually a fan of this wine and traditionally I offer this to customers as a solid benchmark for New World Cab Franc. The liberal use of new oak bothers me a bit and at this stage the aromatics are all over the map. Give this some time to absord some of the oak toast and I think the purity of fruit will reveal itself.

I'm a Cab Franc lover but this one is not a favorite. Blackberries, lemons, white pepper & earth

Couldn’t agree more with this rating. Let it breathe for about an hour and watch it bloom. Exquisite!

2010 at ten years and open an hour. It's a closer. Really a beauty now. More Bordeax style CF with fruit but spine and lovely red fruit acidity.

Bright floral bouquet. Plums and dark fruit on the palate. Nice acidity that balances well with somewhat grippy tannins that has a hint of pepper on the finish. Overall it is an easy drinking medium body can franc. I always enjoy this under the radar producer out of Sonoma.

Lighter style than Virginia Cabernet Francs. Delicious, food friendly wine! Paired great with pork fajitas.
