Abeja
Washington Chardonnay
Sourced from a host of vineyards, the 2018 ‘Washington State’ Chardonnay was aged for nine months in 100% new French oak before bottling. The nose is gorgeous with bright pear and citrus rind tones that mingle with vanilla cream and shades of baking spices that all march in unison in the glass. The palate is ripe and beautifully textured with layers of citrus zest, vanilla cream, baking spices and amazing length and tension. A light veil of salinity caps off what is truly an outstanding Chardonnay with some good aging potential. Drink 2020-2030- 93

Jun 16th, 2020Pale yellow. Crisp nose of pear and stone fruit. Tasted lightly buttered, with a mature baked apple pie expression. I like this balanced approach in my Chardonnay.

May 27th, 2019Despite being this young, it's already showing great aged qualities like an older California Chard. Buttery aromas of tropical fruit with smooth flavors of vanilla and creme brûlée. Yummy as expected.

Sep 11th, 2015They have two estate vineyards and this wine is from two other sites all barrel fermented 100% ml 40% new in barrel for 10 months has a pretty note of fresh buttered popcorn notes of vanilla and nutmeg spice with a good amount of tropical fruit all contracted fruit. 2013 one of the hottest year since they have recorded data. A nice balance of lightly toasted oak spice tropical fruit apples tangerine and bright crisp acidity cleaning things up on the finish. Finish 40+ excellent+
