Nose of red and blue fruits with light wood, coffee, bell pepper, black pepper and spices.
Full bodied and soft with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, light oak, spices, chocolates, earth, licorice, coffee, tobacco leaf, herbs, vegetables and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with soft tannins and raspberries.
This 10 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley in Washington State is still drinking very nicely. Elegant and nicely balanced, complex and interesting. Showing lots of earth notes at this point.
Needed 2 hours in the decanter to open up properly, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot. Aged in (70% new) French Oak barrels for 22 months.

We had the 2016 on 2/26-27/23. Tastes of blackberry, plum, mocha and oak. Well balanced, medium bodied and fruit forward. A good Washington Cab.

Our other selection for Christmas dinner. Classy, elegant Cabernet which shows as much red fruited character as black. Shows some spicy/oak notes, but really portrays more beauty than strength. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all!
