This is in a very good place now. Bright shiny color, seems very fresh. Nice nose of fruit, smoke, vanilla and gentle spices. On the palette this is pleasantly light on its feet, with soft grained tannins and uplifting acidity. Oak is well integrated. Aalto remains an excellent value. Love it!

First taste was so bitter I thought it was bad. Been drinking so much medium bodied wine that all of a sudden this was thick and inky. Oak. In the end I liked it but it was a shock.
