Sadly this 2008 bottle was "corked". The cork looked great and the wine had been stored in a temp-controlled cellar for the past couple years. The wine was slightly effervescent and the taste and smell was off.
Was looking forward to this bottle :-( Will have to try one of their current releases soon!

Deep purple in the glass, tons of fruit in the nose, black, blue, and red, caramel, quite a bit of oak on palette, hopefully will subdue in decanter

Wonderful wine. Comparable to Von Strasser Cab. Give it time to open up and get rid of the sharp, peppery edges & it will be smooth & round, with a dry finish.
