Dry leaves, cap-gun caps, cherry jelly, detergents, and garam masala. Flavors are excellent. Bittersweet chocolate, tart berry cocktail mixers, un-sweet part of molasses, minerals. This is a CA red with a hint of old world vibes. Real grippy. Not, I repeat not, fruit-bombed. Even at 14.1%! Perfect age seven years on. Wish I could remember where and why I got it. This wine should make the ‘California Republuc’ proud.
