Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Light nose of blueberries, plums, cherries, licorice, oak, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead, chocolates, smoke, spices, tobacco leaf and black pepper.
Full bodied, jammy and bold, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, sweet cherries, dried figs, tobacco, spices, wood, vanilla, cloves, dark coffee, chocolates and peppercorn.
Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This Australian Red Blend is always enjoyable. Not very sophisticated, but nicely balanced with a tangy finish. Good right out of the bottle, and good for parties. Might be too fruity for some. A good everyday wine.

Label story: John Boyle O’Reilly was an Irish born poet who was arrested for mutiny in 1866. Sentenced to 20 years. Intense aromas, palate ripe berry fruits with underlying sweetness. Enjoyed this gift from my linesister tonight....ok 🙄....she was trying to catch a flight and had to leave it with me but it was still a gift! Lol! It was a very nice, smooth red blend. Having a couple of glasses with the hubby ❤️
