This is a big and bold Shiraz based blend from Australia.

Showing black fruits with chocolate notes, tobacco, vanilla, licorice, wood and spices.

Fruit forward with medium acidity.

Dry to off dry on the palate with a short tangy finish of sour cherries.

This 5 year old is still rich, but not complex. Good right out of the bottle and good by itself as a sipping wine by the porch.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

88 points.

$20.

Called 19 Crimes b/c committing 1 of 19 in UK, you were sent to Australia. The Warden is a Shiraz-based red blend (can’t find the rest of the blend, even the US distributor didn’t know…maybe it’s a Crime!) Dark purple red with aromas of dark berry fruits & spicy notes. The palate shows black cherry & plum flavors, with cinnamon spice and vanilla notes. Big wine with big tannins that needs a few minutes to breathe, Decant a must! Medium finish ends with jammy sweet notes & spice on the finish. Tasting Sample

Great deep body with cherry and smoky flavors. Perfect by itself or with dinner.

I would’ve rated this a 7.8 at best last night. Poured a glass and couldn’t finish it. Way too jammy. Let it sit open overnight and while it’s not amazing it’s a very enjoyable bottle

Its heavy, with a smooth, fleshy, dark cherry nose, but it's not that complex. It's just overripe. Interesting smoky note. Demerits for gimmicky bottle.
