Typical Ratzenberger brilliance. Macadamia, cocoa butter, Queen Anne cherries. Just the slightest hint of slate, flint and sweetness. Mouthcoating, impossibly long, already becoming a haunting sort of thing. Who else can take a hot year and a GG vineyard and make an exceptional feinherb of it? #ratzenberger #mittelrhein #riesling — 6 years ago
1998 vintage. Not as focused and precise as when young but still pretty damn good at 16 years of age. Fraying and getting a bit "cellar-y" around the edges but plenty of sweet/sour citrus cream fruit right down the middle and on the fairly lengthy finish. #riesling #sekt #ratzenberger #mittelrhein — 10 years ago

Peaches, waxy fruits and subtle wet stones. Massive acidity negates whatever RS there is; it simply drinks dry and round. Complete, complex and satisfying. Typical Ratzenberger. #ratzenberger #riesling #mittelrhein — 6 years ago
