I had the 2013 Picayune Pinot Noir; I would say it is on the lighter side of medium in color and had initial aromas of earth, spice and cherry. There is something I cannot describe well but sort of like a subtle combination of a asphalt and new tires. I have to say that I had my doubts about this one. This went away quickly, it was a little thin but had nice flavors of dark cherry, some blackberry and hints of herbs. I did notice that it had a lingering finished to me. After a while I was really looking forward to another sip. It's not overly fruity nor does the acid punch you. I have to say I like this a little more than I originally thought. The Picayune made for a nice evening drink. It is a little light so if you want to pair it with food you may want to try it first and pick accordingly. #picayune#sonomacoast#pinotnoir — 10 years ago
