Brown Estate

Napa Valley Tempranillo 2014

2014. Sipping our wine club Loves at a time I wish I could hug and help those at these wineries I've gotten to know and care so much about. Brown has been on top of social media updates and their status during #NapaFire. If you haven't tried them yet you should (start with a Zin!) So far, they are closed, but all humans and their properties are safe. — 7 years ago

Silver Oak

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

2009. Only one plot at Silver Oak affected. Today, a family member commented that CA wines may be all gone. I responded I'd rather never drink another glass but have all those innocent people and homes back. In the meantime, we continue to drink our Napa faves in our cellar- it's Friday, so this one's a magnum. #NapaFire — 7 years ago

Repris

Moon Mountain Vineyard Zinfandel 2015

Every bottle from one of "our" Napa area wineries makes us talk about the beautiful memories from visiting, and the wonderful people we met, as we start to cry into our glass. No word from Repris, which makes me extremely nervous. #napafire 2015 bottle. — 7 years ago

Gundlach Bundschu

Vintage Reserve Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2010

2010. Opened it because we don't know the status but we hear Gun-Bun has been impacted by #NapaFire. devastated this may be the last bottle from one of the first Sonoma wineries we ever visited as a couple. — 7 years ago

@TheSkip @Daniel P. Drake I've heard recently GunBun may have survived??? A few wineries created their own controlled fire walls- sacrificing one plot of vines to save the rest. I'm hopeful. My first stop in CA will be to a blood bank to donate and my luggage already contains face masks- I've heard they are running out so that can be easily donated. :(

@Kim Stanbro Delectable just launched a Napa/Sonoma Fire featured feed. We both have posts there. I just updated mine again this morning. There’s some better news for you in my update on Bundschu... Despite earlier reports of significant fire damage, the winery buildings are structurally sound, said Katie Bundschu. But the property was on the fire line so Bundschu said the family is still assessing crop damage. All my hopes and prays for this tragedy ending soon!
