Cabernet Franc from New Jersey shows promise with Loire like character of pepper and red berries, excellent acidity too. The oak here is the right amount, just not the right kind and not well integrated. It seems a little smoky, almost burnt on the finish. I love the juicy red fruits and touch of minerality, however the oak on this one is more smoky than I like and tend to find as characteristic of east coast red wines. But as far as New Jersey wines go these guys are tops in their class. #outercoastalplain #joisey #palmaris — 9 years ago
