Paderewski Vineyard Zinfandel Blend 2014

Fantastic! Decanted for 45 min. Intense black and blue fruit aromas that give a big hint at the massive wine that is about to be drank. Massive dark fruit, smoke, allspice, and tobacco. Finish just goes on and on and on.....
Perfectly paired for rib night on vacation.
No rush to drink.

This is amazing. I’m sure it will benefit from time, but I would not describe as tight. This is ready for extreme enjoyment now.
Color is opaque garnet. Nose tips hand of cab franc with floral, herbs, perfume, and dark red fruit. One of the best elements of this wine.
Lots going on the palate. That’s where u find the Petite Verdot. I’m saying chocolate covered currant and then layers of allspice, red and blue fruit. Sweet tannins, if that’s a thing, bring it all together and then the finish follows for a long time. This is awesome. It reminds me a lot of the 2008 Penfold’s Grange in structure if not a little in profile.

Calvarino Soave Classico Garganega Trebbiano 2016

In excellent form already. Better out of the ice bucket for sure. More fat than the base level Soave but lots more structure too. — 3 months ago

The nose reveals; pink grapefruit, tangerine, strawberries, watermelon near the rind, hints of rhubarb, blood orange, sea spray, mild volcanic minerals, chalk, light fruit roll-ups, fruit blossoms and pink roses.

The body is thick, gluey and shows some frizzante. It’s fresh, lively and easy to drink. Especially, outstanding on a warm day. Candied fruit of; pink grapefruit, tangerine, strawberries, watermelon near the rind, hints of rhubarb & blood orange. Some white spice with a shade of heat, a herbal presence, sea spray, mild volcanic minerals, chalk, light fruit roll-ups, fruit blossoms and pink roses. The acidy is bright and near perfect. The finish is; rich, ripe, lush, balanced fruit & earth and is delicious.

Photos of; their vineyards on the Bay of Biscay, 5th generation Winemaker- Ignacio Ameztoi, fruit ready to go the Bodega and another shot of the Bay of Biscay with fruit on the vine.

Domaine Pascal Cotat

La Grande Côte Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2017

allot of concentration here. Lots of citrus grapefruit taste with quite a bit of wet chalk....really young will take at least 5 or 6 years to come together ... expecting great things for this wine in the future ....time will tell — 3 months ago

Domaine Marquis d'Angerville

Domaine du Pélican Arbois Savagnin Ouillé 2015

Good tension that complements the citrus and floral notes as well as the light salinity on the palate. It’s a very friendly wine and the purity of the wine really shows through. Great wine to make you forget a muggy summer night. — 3 months ago

I don’t drink much Chardonnay. This was a very pleasant one. High acidity, citrus peel on the nose and great structure. Some evidence of new oak, but nothing over the top. — 3 months ago
