Top Notes For
Wolfed down by the group, the AP#5 was certainly drinkable - so much so that I felt it was a little under appreciated. Deep and complex, it had an enticing bouquet of ripe stone and citrus fruits, complemented by delicate floral, spice, and flint notes. On the palate, it was juicy and vibrant, yet had such intensity and a rich texture. Ah! And the acidity… it just seemed to melt the sugar, making the wine so digestible. Finished long and elegant with a salinity that just grows with air. What a wine! So appealing now, but would definitely reward patience.
