Oct 24th, 2024Second bottle from this vintage. Much better experience this time. Last wasn’t bad and perhaps was just an off night/bottle. This Solaia was packing significant range and depth. The fruit was beautifully structured and was so well rounded. Seemed more mature than just 5 years. Excellent.

Sep 15th, 2024Solaia has changed a lot over the last 10 vintages. This wine is more perfumed and has a weight not seen in say a 2010. Wine is still tight but is clearly packing a lot. The composition is excellent. The fruit is there but mostly in reserve. I liked but didn’t love this… Yet. I suspect it will be quite special the next time.
