Dazzling wine, 85% grenache, mostly from Châteauneuf-du-Pape and non-vintage to boot. Black cherry, plum, red cherry, violet, leather, beautiful, silky medium tannin, medium acidity, voluptuous texture. This is such an enjoyable wine with beautiful balance.

May 30th, 2023Big, sweet, fruit forward nose with ripe blueberries, sweet cherries, dried lavender & herbs. Plus a peppery whiff. Unabashedly Southern Rhône yet with nice purity. Maybe a touch technical, but no rusticity here. Cool & fresh.
On the palate beautifully balanced, fresh and juicy, dark fruit with a bramble mineral backdrop. The 15% alc unnoticeable.

Even entry level Xavier is fantastic. Can’t produce a bad wine this guy! Balanced but earthy Rhone blend. Strong tannins still, but not overwhelming. A little herbaceousness on the back palette!
