Light golden color with a tinge of green. Beautifully perfumed with aromas of apricots and honey with a dash of pears. Chamomile and lilacs with green apples and slate. Riesling has never truly been my jam in my past but this is a really nice example of what the grape can be. Sharp acidity and nice purity of fruit.

Off dry with just the right amount of sweetness here, this has terrific balance throughout. Smooth and elegant, with a nice level of refinement. The palate features Meyer lemons, melons, and crisp citrus fruits. Slate, minerality, and a bit of spice. Light and decidedly fresh, these Hofgut Falkenstein wines are indeed the real deal.
