Tschuppen Spätburgunder
From Baden at Swiss border, hand-picked Pinot Noir grown on lime stone, fermented with natural yeasts and with 22 mo aging in 225 liter barrels. Red lightly viscous unfiltered; nose of ripe strawberries, chocolate, and earthy sulphury spicy notes - the good kind; although low on alcohol (12%) the taste is satisfying, has ample acids, and is carried into a long finish on the back of straw- and lingon-berries and a touch of oak-spices.

Jul 17th, 2021Gorgeous Spätburgunder and an outright steal. Sour cherry fruit, tobacco leaf, juniper berry, licorice and dried herbs. Very fresh and vibrant, clean fruit on the palate with slightly nervy energy but also a surprising amount of depth.
