It’s great to have a wine that in any vintage will be somewhere between ‘great’ and ‘extraordinary.’ The Turley Hayne Zinfandel is that wine for me. Early in its run, the 2017 is headed toward the top of that range, loaded with jammy fruit, a bit of spice and a nice cut of acidity to keep it in line. Can’t wait to see how the bottles in my cellar evolve over the next 10-20 years.

Absolutely stunning zin. Drinking beautifully now but could still sit for a few years. Notes of blackberry, currant, vanilla and baking spice. A little sweet cigar mixed in there.
