Wonderful Barolo at 8 years. Perfect with some air with a great steak. Refined, classic, some fruit from the warmer year, but overall still quite seamless and perfumed. Long finish, great acid.

Aug 27th, 2023Very nice but for some reason not quite singing at the same level of the last bottle we had of this earlier this year. I do suggest a 2+ hour decant. Lots of cherry and a bit of dark cherry. Quite balanced with great freshness. Long finish. Tannins are a bit chunky at this point, but still a great wine with a fatty steak.

Nov 12th, 2020Really an excellent Barolo. From a warmer year, but most of the fruit is from Verduno which is on the lighter / perfumed side. Traditional production. Good example of a nebbiolo I’d suggest for a burgundy lover who hadn’t had nebbiolo. Excellent balance, deep dark fruit, precise finish, tannins are certainly there but come together nicely.

Classic character of roses, violets and notes of tar and tobacco. Made to drink now as the maceration time is shorter at 15 days. This a gorgeous and well- made Barolo with fruit from 4 vineyards. 2015 vintage on Dec 20, 2019
