Las Umbrías Sierra de Gredos Madrid Garnacha

Certainly a very intriguing wine. Very floral. Perhaps a touch too much of what I’ll call cedar (pine?) than I’d prefer but also good depth of red fruit.

Very nice high toned Garnacha. Strawberry, cherry, mineral. A little tight. Try again in 5 years.

Light color, wild strawberry, delicate and elegant

Floral, mineral nose yet quite a bit of tannins. Almost feels chewy. This is one of the most interesting wines I’ve had in a while

The famed Commando G: fascinating nose, floral, almost Burgundian nose, with notes of rasberry and mineral/stone, then big, almost chewy tannins and a super long finish. A hard wine for my inexpert palate to describe, but fascinating and can't recall anything quite like it

Licorice, truffle, austere front palate with berry forward exuberant finish

Light on its feet Grenache from Comando G in 🇪🇸. They seek out forgotten vineyard and bring them back to life. There was a great NYT article about them. Quite unique and almost Pinot like. Quite tart build to age. Has lots of years ahead of it. Herbaceous tons of acid. Wild strawberry 🍓 and an insane amount of minerality a very special bottle indeed.
