I know most of these reviews are on release, but just a couple years of age really changes this wine by easing up on the acidity. I get much more extracted flavors without the heat or jam. Just juicy dark and stone fruits with integrated acidity and stone. There’s also an umami factor that goes so well with food. One of he best.

This is perfect for July 4th. Zin that tastes like zin but without the chocolate and oak. Could smell it for days. Palate is strawberry jam with stone, forest, and bright acidic fruit. If you like the minimalist wine movement, you must try this. Especially the 2016.

The 2016 is fantastic. Very bright tart cherry with fresh plums and almost like an herbal rosemary risqué finish. The cherries linger like a good cherry compote. Can’t wait to try this over the next year or two.
