Deep red color, almost uniform. Really changed 30-45 minutes after decanting. Would recommend a sip or two at open and then waiting. Dark, fresh red fruits but I got this great woody mineral flourish immediately following the fruit. Like on top of it. Long and noisy finish. Great stuff. Plus acidity and medium-ish body. And a chewy tannin end that just hits so well. This is a gorgeous wine. Love this cru Beaujolais. Going to (try to) sit on what I have left for a year or more...yes I had to end with a joke. Post-script: first time understanding how tannin can be “chewy”.

A great Beaujolais, a bit young and made for aging. Violet, cherry, earth on the nose. The palate is made of a strong and long acid backbone with fruits on the sides, a good grip, no real tannins but a kick in the end before a finish with violet and cherry

A wine that is definitely better with food. Super nose of cherry, roses, metal. Superbly balanced palate with cherry and and acid backbone to ride on, lively tannins and a last taste of raspberry on the finish. We paired it with roasted pork filet mignon and bacon. Real treat

Violette, cherry, a bit of metal, very lovely, light nose. Cherry again on the palate with a strong acid backbone and a very easy mineral finish. A tad too young but a very lovely wine. Will try to let one bottle or two on the side for a while

When I had it at the winery,I found it very tannic, especially for a Beaj. But with food, it's spot on. Clean fruit, with lots of body (ABV) and none of the bloodiness than can haunt Beaj.
