Old style Pavie (thankfully!). So sad to see what has happened to Pavie in this new century, but this 82 was a lovely, balanced wine. Fell off a bit after 1 hour but still lovely.

One of the last great vintages from Jean Paul Valette - deep purple color with a tawny rim, fresh nose of cedar and cassis with wonderful fruit soft tannin and along finish. Perfect now.

Parker gives the 82 an 88 score. That's nuts, wine is silky, still has fruit. Might be 3-5 past it's prime but still great

Still some life in this bottle, but would not think you would want to hold too much longer. Medium bodied with red fruits, cherries, mushrooms, and a little earthy / dustiness on the finish.
