2013 vintage. From Jay. Domaine de la Romanee Conti Richebourg 2013 - Quick Note/Initial Thoughts: Rich ruby colour. Brooding nose. Slightly reductive. Some dark and light fruits on the nose together with a hint of earth. Lush on the attack as it progresses to envelope the palate. Lacks the sappiness often associated with Richebourg but it will certainly put on weight with age. The finish is very big - certainly the biggest of all the wines of this vintage - and had great length. This wine is a dark horse at the moment with the potential to be truly special over time. 95/100. Drink 2028 to 2045.
