First of the Australian wines. Deep garnet red. Complex nose with lots of savory notes, such as olives, slight dirtiness leading into a little mint and cinnamon. A little jammy and smokey on the palate. Some stewed berries with a chewy texture too. Smooth, well integrated moderate tannins (6/10) with a full body. Something interesting in the long finish that we cannot quite put our finger on. Drink till 2022.
