Solid barolo. Ready to go actually so this one shouldn't wait too long. Black cherry and anise. Gravel and almost kind of a chalky red terroir on the middle. Red licorice and tobacco leaf. Finishes with a hint of pepper, stiff oak tannin. This is my one and only bottle of this, but I think the best years for this one are perhaps 1-2 years away. Still a solid 92 IMO. Great structure and balance.

Very youthful with rough edges to be resolved, but still very pleasurable. Rose red and black cherry dominate, along with some blue fruit on the nose. Very serralunga - more rose than tar, rich but with a strong acidic spine and underlying chalkiness. Hints of leather, sun baked earth, and nutmeg hint at things to come. Very precise and transparent, but Unresolved even for a 2011, would give it 3+ years before drinking window
