A friend brought this 1974 Mouton Rothschild over tonight. Bottle label barely visible from cellaring . Some evaporation. Retained dark color while decanting which was promising. Certainly beyond its prime but still a wine of interest. Soft, dusty spice box with dried fruit. Madierized. Hints of chocolate with light blackberry fruit.
