Sipping Fine Wine

The palate brings forth sour raspberry and cherry fruit, a touch of vanilla, balanced tannin and acidity. Lingering finish, nice mouthfeel; a joy to drink. I recently had their Chard and One BIG Negative, for both wines, that the wine is sold with its cork exposed, no foil or wax protecting the cork! The 2014 didn’t spend much time on the wine shelf, however if wine sits and cork gets dirty it can contaminate the wine will be bad when opened. For that reason I will not buy Copain until cork is protected.

Low expectations given earlier vintages tasted but when Costa recommends, I yield. Pure, soft, light with just enough raspberry and fresh cherry to keep it interesting. Some drying tannins suggest it will go a few years, floral nose was delightful. Nice surprise. Great PV.

Coastal breeze, floral nose. Tastes like unripe red fruit -- cranberry, pomegranate.

Oyster shell and ocean mist. Burgundian funk. Burgundy lightness. Lovely.
