Seems a little weightier than the last bottle I had a little over a year ago. And it's not bad for a 2011, whose wines, in the Langhe, I have found to be a bit scorchy and bitter. Old leather and some nice cherry fruit on the nose. Same in the mouth. Some puckery tannin coats the mouth. But it ends pretty clean. For under $20, hard to criticize. Good weekday evening dinner wine.

Mar 21st, 2017Needs air. These are second day notes. Light color. Classic Neb nose of dried cherry, dried rose petals, warm bricks and smoke. Spreads out nicely in the mouth. Tannic, but not too. Flavors linger. Wine- macerated cherry and minerals. Good balance. For under $20, good buy.
