More dark-fruit, spice-driven style than the more feminine Coparossa. Maria Adelaida was superb, if somewhat obvious in its oaky concentration. 2011 seems to be an early-drinking vintage, but this line-up has a certain seriousness about it, structured but not heavy.

Feb 18th, 2016One of the best barbarescos. Well rounded and it opens up to a medley of berries. Let it sit and it gets better. A joyous wine. Even better was the sommelier who connected us with the son of the owner of this winery and set us up with a white truffle tasting at the vineyard in Piedmont! Happy happy 4th everyone:) #gotlucky
