This was ridiculously good and shared by @DAG who opened it before dinner and saved some for me. I downed it right after a Chablis and long before any other Reds were opened but it stayed a standout for me. Rich and big but lots of polish and form. Tapenade, sweet dark plum and fig.

Huge like Harlan. Difficult to ascertain vineyard expression when producer style emerges this prominent.

If not from the unbalance due to alcohol this would have been amazing. Great flavor.

1 hour decant(lots chunky/fine sediment). A wondrous still dark garnet color with some bricking. On the nose: beautiful savory notes of black cherry, graphite, sandalwood, chocolate, pine. Taste: elegant, polished, layered wine with dark plum/cherry, dark chocolate, dusty earth, sweet spice, leather and a nice long finish. YUM! Drinking well now with some time to go(unlike the 02s which seem to be fading faster).

1.5 hour decant (lots of fine cloudy sediment)...really needs a 2 hour decant for the nose and taste to open up. A phenomenal deep dark garnet color..little signs of aging. Buckle your seat belts..the wine was fresh, full body with great structure. On the nose: floral, pine tree, cedar, dark fruit, currents. Taste: Big chocolate, dark cherry, tobacco with a touch of tannic bite on a smoky pencil lead long finish.
