Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend

Magnificent showing. Perfect cork and storage, alive and vibrant. Exotic spices, loads of garrigue, white pepper, cinnamon, leather, tobacco, roasted plum and black cherry fruits, almost brandied in a way. Continuing to evolve with meat, smoke, truffle, and warm stones. Warm and redolent. Richness held back by the whole cluster, gravelly tannins that have evolved into very nicely with time. A favorite domaine in CNDP now, but I truly love their use of whole cluster in the old days, last vintage for it I believe.

Seductive and lush with sweet tannins and pan fried herbs supporting its gently dried fruit profile. Powerful finish. No need to rush.

Amazing

Feels a little past its prime. Strong black tea notes dominate this wine. Has an appealing, extremely long finish.

Wow just wow.

Nice CdP aromas but the palate is disjointed and hot. Served blind and as my friend said , " You are consistent ". This is my "issue" as I know many wine friends who find these wines far less extreme than I do.

Fully mature from a great vintage, exquisitely ripe Grenache, lots of fruit left, strawberry blackberry compote, garrigue, peanut skin
