Dark plum and brooding fruit on the nose. Nice clarity and depth and quite fresh. Modernist in style but coming around now. Quite long.

Monster of a wine. Enjoyable now but really deserves time.

On the nose, barrel toast, tobacco, cocoa powder and rich dark fruits.

Great texture on the palette with ripe tannins, blackcurrants and plums. It has a softness, yet the tannins are still prominent.

Probably needs at least another 3 years in the bottle to fully resolve the tannins, but the main components are coming together well. I may have under-clubbed the score.

30+ minute decant was perfect. Definitely right in the drinking window. Purple color. Awesome nose filled with slate, graphite, and earth. Wine has medium depth with black cherries and all the factors found in the nose. Not super complex, but good QPR. Medium finish.

I’m absolutely in love with these ‘05 Bordeaux’s!! 30 minutes open in the bottle was perfect, but it was probably fine if you PnP’d as it really faded over time. Dark purple color and insane nose of dark cherry, earth, and tar. Palate is dominated by more cherry, cough medicine, cinnamon, and tobacco. Awesome texture. Candy in a bottle! Solid finish. Paired nicely with bavette steak and coconut rice. I’m a buyer of more!! Would have scored higher if I didn’t drink over two hours.

Full loaded of spices, cedar wood, and ripe black fruits. Full bodied and very tannic at the moment. Another good one from Beausejour-Becot with long term aged potential.
