Petit Ours Brun Côtes du Rhône Syrah

Strong and young tannins. Red fruit on the nose but evolving black notes once you taste. An honest and clean expression of Rhône Syrah. Slight herbal component, I pick up a benign thyme over anything. Lovely wine for $22. Had the 2013 and can see it improving over the next year or two, possibly more.

The most minty Syrah I've ever had. Good balance though. Refreshing red with subtle depth.

Aromas of agitated warehouse dust and concrete. On the palate tannins dominate the thin remnant of fruit. Finish is lingering freshly shredded cardboard.
