Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend

I could smell this one all day and be happy. Lighter-bodied and refreshing with flavors of leather , violets, and savory capers. Nice tannic presence at the end.

@Dan Murphy you'd love tonight. Sadly this guy was corked.

Showing it’s age really well, great drinkability, spicy and still a little fruity.

Not sure how long it was open. Kind of thin with a slight menthol kicker.

Not loving it- better on day 2 but not by much. Very light bodied, nothing standing out on nose or tasting notes. Perhaps over cellared. Would not go out of my way to have this again-

Tannic, med weight, barnyard, blackberries, cedar box. Thin wine that's tannic or almost sour.

Very chocolately on the nose. Really dark color, still good but certainly past it's prime. Tastes earthy, porty, almost like a fortified wine. Very interesting
