Leathery fruit, savory spice, underbrush, damp earth, amaro, mocha, tobacco, cracked peppercorn, rocks. Complex, expressive, and more wound up than the '09 was. As always rustic with this sexiness about it. Poweful tannins that have finesse and poise to them. Would love to revisit.

Astringent raspberry chalky burlap leather smell that works, thick rusty purple in color that you can see through from a top, the taste comes in bright before getting tongue numbingly tannin, leaving a raw and fresh oak taste that tingles the tongue like if you licked and completed the circuit on a 9V battery, the malt is so delicately in there too, give like 90 min to open

Had this on a blind tasting contest. What a surprise. I had picked Tuscany on my vote. So, a little close for a blind glass I guess. Luscious round fruit, smooth as glass, balanced and clean. Wicked good
