100% merlot spent two and a half weeks in contact with the skins and then five years in large barriques.
Rusty brownish like an old nebbiolo. Oxidized nose of caramel, leather and tobacco. Very complex and intense. Surprising amount of fruit on the palate with lots of acidity. Long finish. Weird stuff but its complexity is surprising.
