Malbec Blend
Top Notes For
"Odedi"

Nice color of dark ruby with a wide ruby rim.

On the nose, black currants, plums, blackberries, licorice, chocolates, alcohol, vegetables, vanilla, oak, vinaigrette, cloves, earth and peppercorn.

Full bodied but not bold, with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate and fruity, with blackberries, cherries, earth, leather, green vegetables, herbs, chocolates, smoke, licorice, vinaigrette, spices, pencil lead, cloves, bitter herbs and black pepper.

Medium plus on the finish with green, firm tannins and tart cranberries.

This Bordeaux blend from Mendoza is still unbalanced and harsh, even after 90 minutes of airtime. A little bitter too, but shows nice complexity, with lots of green notes. A good red "Bordeaux" for a great price.

Better with food than just by itself at this point. However, it is a good quality wine.

Needs a few more years in the bottle to mature.

A blend of 58% Malbec, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot, 8% Syrah and 4% Merlot.

Grapes are hand harvested in the foot hills of the Andes Mountains. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and Unfiltered.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Мята, хвоя, эвкалипт, фиалка, сирень, можевельник. Аромат очень интересный. Вкус проваливается. Кислотность высокая, танины низкие.

Made by the same guys who operate Léoville Poyferré, they definitely know how to make a great blend. Their 2010 Grand Vin is perhaps my favourite Argentinean wine. It slightly lacks the depth and lushness of its bigger brother but it offers excellent value for the price. Notes of dark chocolate, coffee, cedar, oak, plum with hints of vanilla. Smooth acidity and tannins on the palate. Great Bordeaux style wine from Mendoza.
